At Little U, our learning community is grounded in the values of Trauma-Informed Care, Child Safety, Secure Attachment, and Interest-Based Learning, where freedom of speech is balanced with care and respect for individuals and families. We openly share our governing instruments – including our constitution and co-created community policies – so prospective families can make informed decisions before joining. We aim to foster a safe, transparent, and inclusive environment that nurtures children’s growth and contributes to a sustainable, caring education landscape in Singapore.
Organisation Chart

Our governing instrument and policies reflect our commitment to the highest standards of care for children and families.
The Little U Constitution sets out the main rules that govern our operations as a non-profit, defining our goals, member duties, and decision-making processes. It clearly outlines how we make collective decisions, manage responsibilities, and maintain accountability among CLG members. By keeping our focus on our mission—to help children grow through education—it ensures every aspect of our work aligns with our core purpose.
Our Child Safeguarding Policy ensures the highest standards of child safety at Little U, with defined steps for recognising, responding to, and reporting any concern. We conduct careful checks for all who engage with children and act promptly when risks arise. Always guided by Singapore’s child protection laws, this policy helps families trust that children’s safety and well-being come first in everything we do.
Trauma Informed Care Guidelines
The Trauma-Informed Care Guidelines shape how we support children who have faced difficult or disruptive experiences, creating learning spaces that are calm, responsive, and healing. Every interaction prioritises emotional safety, helping children regulate and recover instead of shutting down. Through close collaboration with parents and caregivers, we ensure children receive consistent, compassionate support while learning.
Our Discord Server Policy sets clear expectations for kind and respectful communication within our online community of families and learners. It creates a welcoming and safe digital space where children can connect positively while protecting everyone from bullying or harmful behaviour through clear moderation rules. This policy extends our microschool’s safe, inclusive culture into our digital spaces.
Our Financial Policy, Fundraising Policy, and Brand Guide are available upon request for partners, donors, board members, and community stakeholders.
Little U’s Financial Policy governs how we steward our funds responsibly and transparently—from fees and scholarships to budgets and audits. It ensures that at least 10% of all profits directly supports scholarships, so financial need never limits access to learning. Meeting all Singapore charity and company reporting requirements, it reinforces accountability and community trust in every financial decision.
Our Fundraising Policy defines how Little U raises funds ethically, honouring our donors while protecting the dignity of families we serve. We commit to transparency, integrity, and respect—avoiding pressure tactics and ensuring all contributions are used as intended. In full compliance with Singapore’s PDPA, we safeguard donor information and ensure every gift is properly recorded and acknowledged.
The Little U Brand Guide shapes how we present ourselves—visually and in tone—across all communications and platforms. It ensures our voice remains warm, professional, and trauma-informed, while guiding educators and partners to represent our mission authentically. By maintaining consistent, values-aligned messaging, the Brand Guide helps preserve our community’s trust and shared identity.
In addition, environmental, social and governance factors are taken into account when conducting our activities.

At Little U, we believe that how we operate matters just as much as what we do. Our ESG commitments reflect our values as a non-profit — caring for children and families, running our organisation with integrity and transparency, and being mindful of our impact on the environment. From adopting paperless practices and flexible work arrangements, to ensuring inclusive access through scholarships and upholding the highest standards of child safeguarding, every decision we make is guided by our mission to design inclusive, equitable education for all children in Singapore. We are proud to embed these commitments into our board agenda and day-to-day operations, and we welcome our community — families, educators, partners, and supporters — to hold us accountable as we grow.
